GRADUATION!

Well, the day has finally come! Sonny graduated from Loma Linda University last Sunday, May 24th. He is now a doctor! Wow! I don't think it has hit me yet. But it has definately been a hard, busy, yet wonderful 4 years. There have been many late nights for Sonny at the library and many lonely nights for me at home (I can't believe I made it through!). Sonny has worked very (well, extremely) hard all 4 years; he worked so hard that he was #5 in his class of 90 students! Awesome, eh? Yep. It seems that all of Sonny's hard work has paid off. I didn't want to believe it the first 2 years of school but now, I am so proud of him. Sonny received several awards during the several graduation events we have attended lately. He got an award from the American Medical Association of Oral Surgery, was inducted into Loma Linda's National Honor Society, and most importantly, graduated with honors in Oral Surgery and Conscious Sedation. He got to wear a cool sash over his graduation outfit (they called it a "skull"?)...Taylor was hoping it was a real skull... Sonny looked like a real stud!

Sonny's family all came down to witness the blessed event. We had a big party at our house complete with pinata and all. We stuffed our faces eating Cafe Rio styled burritos with all the Mexican feast trimmings. Sonny received some nice gifts: a watch, gift cards, $, and a toolbox from me! My next blog will be about our trips around SoCal with his fam. So, Congratulations babe! Our next adventure = Tacoma, WA!

L.A., Huntington Library, and a Baseball game

Here are a few of the things we have been up to in the past week:

We went down to the Garment District in downtown L.A. again last week. It's a fun place. I like to people watch there. Here's Tay in one of the shops wearing his favorite thing...high heels baby!

We also visited Huntington Library a few days ago. It was Tays first time there and he had fun exploring everything. I had forgotten how incredibly beautiful it is there...

Taylor was TOTALLY obsessed with the coy fish in the ponds. They were huge!

Doesn't this spot just look so peaceful and quiet?

Yep, the sword came along too.

The Japanese Garden (this is where Tay had a total breakdown from having no nap:)

The Children's Garden where they had lots of water for the kids to splash around. It was so hot that day... some of the adults were splashing around too.

Lastly, Sonny took Tay and some friends to a Dodger's game, his second baseball game. He lasted almost the whole game! crazy! I don't even think I could do that.
